Your Ancestors Lives are the Story of your History

Genealogists, both amateur and professional, all understand that following you ancestors lives is very much like putting together a story. I often think to myself how wonderful it would be if they had the technology then that we have now. Imagine how interesting it would be if they were able to record their voices or videotape important events in their lives. Because they were not able to, we are left with the task of piecing together books, diaries, letters, documents and photos, yet sometimes this does not really tell us who they were or what their unique personalities and life stories were. With that in mind, I came across a website that will give you the ability to record your stories for future generations as well as for today's generation. It is called Story Corps and I was very impressed with their work. I urge you to check out their website and get involved. They have some fantastic community ideas and initiatives. I have provided a link to them as well as an ad for them. Be a part of the story of your history.http://www.storycorps.net/
